Man Utd suffered a double injury blow in the Europa League fixture vs Anderlecht at Old Trafford.
Manchester United were hit by a double injury blow in their Europa League quarter final second leg against Anderlecht.
Marcos Rojo was carried off on a stretcher after just 20 minutes, worsening United's defensive injury crisis. He looked to have suffered a knee injury and tried to play on at first but quickly realised he had to come off.
And the night went from bad to worse for Jose Mourinho when striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic fell awkwardly as extra time loomed with the score at 1-1. A stretcher was called for the stricken forward but he managed to walk off, although looked in some discomfort as he left the pitch.
Defenders Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are long-term injury victims for United, while Juan Mata is also sidelined following groin surgery.
Rojo was replaced by Daley Blind, while Anthony Martial came on for Ibrahimovic.
