DONALD TRUMP gave himself an A+ grade for his performance as President during an interview which aired on Sunday, claiming he was the reason for the Republicans’ success in the Senate during the midterm elections.
While speaking about the crunch elections, Trump branded the results as another “historic” moment for the Republican party and bragged about the party’s success in the Senate races. During the interview with Fox News, he said: "I would give myself, I would — look, I hate to do it, but I will do it, I would give myself an A+, is that enough? Can I go higher than that?”
In particular, he noted that the economy is doing better under his presidency, and that he is finding a solution to the conflict with North Korea.
When discussing the midterm elections, he said that the Republicans had secured a “tremendous set of victories”.
He added that winning the Senate was historic for the Republican party during the midterm elections, noting that “it has almost never happened”.
According to Trump, the party would have done even better if he was on the ballot.
The US leader had in fact repeatedly encouraged his supporters to go out and vote as if her were on the ticket throughout the campaign.
