VLADIMIR Putin has seemingly increased his presence in Syria and instructed soldiers to routinely patrol specific areas following Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw American troops, video footage shows.
“Our task is to ensure security in the one and control the position and movements of armed groups.”
The civil war in Syria has been a prevalent topic in recent months as US president Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have faced both criticism and praise for their actions.
Mr Trump's announcement that ISIS had been defeated led to him sanctioning that US troops begin withdrawing from the country.
Late last year during an interview with Sky News Tory MP and ex-army sergeant Bob Seely criticised the decision and warned that Russia could take on a larger presence in the country.
During an interview, he said: “Donald Trump is either impulsive, incompetent or entirely compromised.
