The beach was a sea of green T-shirts this morning
Jamie Carragher joined a crowd of hundreds who walked along Crosby beach to help fundraise to make a new Merseyside cancer hospital a reality.
The Liverpool legend and other walkers wore bright green T-shirts to take part in the Beside the Seaside Walk 2017.
The walk past Antony Gormley’s iron men statues is part of a bid to raise £15m for a new specialist cancer hospital in Liverpool.
Health chiefs say The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre’s plans will transform care for the illness, with plans to also improve its Wirral site.
Jamie Carragher, a leading fundraiser for Clatterbridge, previously told the ECHO: “Cancer is something that affects us all at some time in our lives whether individually in our life or through a family member or a friend.
The show also involved live music and a “pooch parade”, with many sweet dogs taking part in the walk - and also sporting green outfits.
