Vic beach body remains unidentified

A body found on a Victorian beach is yet to be formally identified but friends and family of a missing swimmer are assuming the worst.

Engineering student Khalil Nabizadah, 23, went missing on February 4 when he and his friends got caught in a rip at a Portsea beach with friends and family mourning him on social media.

"Your Memories Will Be Comfort Until We Meet Again.The most ambitious and truthfull (sic) brother," friend Raz Baqeri wrote.

However police said the man found at the beach is yet to be formally identified.
