YELLOW weather warnings have been issued for strong gales across parts of the UK as winter weather continues into next week.
The coldest weather is expected in the south-west with certain areas experiencing frost this morning. But across the north-east, it will be a warmer start to the day. Met Office meteorologist Ellie Creed said: “Saturday will see cloudy skies for most of us but Sunday sees the sunshine return.”
Western England and parts of Wales have seen some cloud breaks but there is likely to be more cloud overnight.
In the northeast temperatures of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius will continue.
Ms Creed said: “In the north-west, a weather system is starting to make its way in.
