FILMMAKER Michael Moore delivered a foul-mouthed anti-Brexit rant while speaking to Channel 4 news.
The controversial filmmaker appeared on Channel 4 news to plug his new film Fahrenheit 11/9, but took the opportunity to make a few anti-Brexit swipes during the wide-ranging discussion with anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
Mr Moore claimed the UK had sacrificed “thousands of lives” to save Europe during both World Wars, as well as warning Britons would have to wait in a “long f***ing line” if they travelled to Paris via the Channel tunnel after Brexit.
The author pleaded with the UK not to leave Europe, telling Mr Guru-Murthy: “You can’t leave, I’m sorry! We’ve seen that Europe can’t do it without you. They need you as much as you need them.”
Mr Moore appealed to Britain's past claiming: “Your history is not to pull up the gates and say ‘we’re an island now, we really are an island, we’re cutting ourselves off from everybody'.
“You can’t leave Europe, they’d be no Europe without you. You saved Europe. You sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives to save Europe, not once but twice!”
He continued: “To think that this great country would want to then say at this point in the 21st century, nah, enough of that, we’re done."
Mr Moore claimed that the European Union and the UK needed each other to “survive”.
