MATTEO Salvini lashed out against the European Union in the umpteenth warning to Brussels over a key law reform included in Italy's Budget plan already rejected by the European Commission.
He said: “We’ll start from getting rid of the Fornero law which is now a reason for living to me.
“I don’t know how many times I’ve been in this studio to say it is the wrongest law approved by the Italian Parliament since the post-war.
“In this Budget, there’s a good hoard of billions to get back the freedom to the right to a pension for 500,000 Italian citizens.
“It’s obvious that if you let 500,000 people retire earlier than they’re supposed to, you get 500,000 jobs available for young people.
“On this, I can vow Europe can say whatever it wants, they can even send Saint Pio over, I will dismantle the Fornero law piece after piece because it’s a wrong law.”
