LORD Adonis has admitted that he and Julia Hartley-Brewer share the same views on Theresa May’s deal as he fears that if Britain divorces the EU with her deal, the country will be trapped in negotiations.
During a call in on TalkRadio, Labour politician Andrew Adonis found common ground with Julia Hartley-Brewer on Theresa May’s withdrawal agreement. He said: “What is very clear is that there is no great enthusiasm amongst potential new Conservative leaders to take over at this point. Because whoever takes over at this point has got to deal with the end game of Brexit.
“Provided Theresa May responds to the vote with a way forward, but the way forward has to be one of meeting her critics.”
‘I think probably has to be a very rapid move to a people vote and give people the choice as to what should happen, with an option to remain.
Julia Hartley-Brewer rolls her eyes at this point and insists on having a second referendum would be taking everything back to square one and people are not going to want to do that.
“As of right now, on the 29th of March next year, we leave with Theresa May’s deal.”
