The huge Teesside Park store is set to reopen on Saturday
It’s been closed for months - but take a look round the new and improved JD Sports at Teesside Park.
Set to reopen tomorrow, the store is Teesside’s fifth and now possibly biggest branch of the store.
Lee Wyldbore, store manager, said: "Our new store has had a complete refresh and now offers an even broader choice for shoppers, including the latest collections and many exclusives in footwear, sport and streetwear as well as a great range of accessories from iconic brands.
"We can't wait to hear what the people of Teesside think when we open the doors on Saturday."
The region’s four other JD Sports are located at The Cleveland Centre in Middlesbrough, Wellington Square in Stockton, Redcar and Hartlepool.
The refit comes after Next’s largest North-east branch at the shopping park was revealed.
And Teesside Park could welcome four more new shops - in the current Morrisons car park.
A planning application submitted in March showed proposals for four new retail units, in the far corner of the car park which borders Teesside Park Drive.
Mike Clarke, centre director at Teesside Park, said: "We're making big investments at Teesside to make our shoppers' experience even better, and the new JD is the next step in this.
"The recent refurbishment at Next and new opening of Nando's have received excellent customer feedback. JD is one of our most popular retailers, so I'm sure the renovated store will be received just as well by shoppers."
The opening will be marked with a fun day with a DJ, street artists and competitions between 10am and 6pm.
