The dark coloured Hyundai crashed into four other cars near Kirkby train station
A suspected stolen car smashed into four cars tonight before the offenders made off on foot.
The dark coloured Hyundai sped along Glovers Brow, close to Kirkby train station, before colliding with four other cars that were sitting in traffic.
Extensive damage was caused to the stationary vehicles before a number of youths got out of the car and ran off towards Kirkby Row and Cotton Walk.
No one was seriously injured in the incident, that happened shortly before 6pm, but one elderly woman who was sat in the traffic bumped her head during the impact.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “A suspected stolen car has driven along Glovers Brow colliding with and damaging four cars that were stationary in traffic.
“A number of youths have then got out of the car – a Hyundai – and run off towards Kirkby Row and Cotton Walk.”
