Kentwood Show Choir, led by founder and musical director Sheila Harrod, will be performing a light-hearted set at a Swindon nightclub and restaurant.
Trees Nightclub, the Rendezvous Oriental Restaurant, in Hooper’s Place, Old Town, will play host to the choir on Sunday, September 10 from 7pm.
The cabaret night will be in aid of the Hope For Children Charity, this year’s Kentwood chosen cause. The charity helps children in Africa, Asia and the UK through education to reach their full potential.
Sheila says she is grateful to Alan Mok from the nightclub for sponsoring the choir.
The choir will be accompanied by Paul Maguire, musical director for many West End shows, and his musicians that form the Little Big Band.
There will also be several cabaret style songs from the soloists in a varied and very different set from the singers.
Tickets are £21 including a three course meal from swindonrendezvous.co.uk.
Alan Mok is also sponsoring the choir’s Christmas Cracker this year and tickets are on sale now for the festive show on Sunday, November 19, from 01793 524481.
