STACEY DOOLEY, who won Strictly Come Dancing 2018 with her professional dance partner Kevin Clifton last weekend, misplaced her Glitterball trophy as she celebrated her win at the after party, according to her fellow contestant Dr Ranj.
This Morning star Dr Ranj, 39, revealed Strictly Come Dancing 2018 winner Stacey Dooley, 31, asked her fellow contestants if anyone had seen her trophy after the party in their WhatsApp group. Laughing about the encounter, he admitted he had a picture of him and the Glitterball but “didn’t take it home”. Spilling all on The Telegraph’s Talking Strictly podcast, he said: “Here’s a little secret… so after the after party, I may have snuck a picture with Stacey’s trophy. Then there was a message on the WhatsApp group yesterday saying, ‘Has anyone seen my trophy? I left it in the room with all the bags and now I can’t find it’.”
He said he replied: “And I was like, ‘I definitely didn’t take it home’.”
On the podcast, the doctor was then asked: “You didn’t leave it in the cab did you?”
Thankfully for Stacey, the trophy was found, with Dr Ranj adding: “I think it was put away for safe keeping.”
Stacey and Kevin, 36, came in first place on the BBC dance show last weekend after performing three dances in the final along with their fellow finalists.
The dancing duo won the public vote after dancing the Paso Doble, Showdance and Foxtrot.
The BBC documentary admitted she was shocked by the win and believed Joe Sugg, 27, and Dianne Buswell, 29, would take the crown.
