SPAIN’S foreign minister launched a scathing attack on the “weak” United Kingdom where he gloated the nation would be “split apart” because of Brexit.
The Spanish foreign minister also took a swipe at the UK’s former prime minister David Cameron, who triggered Britain’s 2016 EU referendum, by insisting that Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez would not be calling a referendum on the independence of Catalonia.
He said: “Mr Sanchez is very right to say ‘I cannot give you a referendum of secession’ Understand.. no.
“I am not Cameron, Spain is not Britain. We have a constitution. It is impossible, it is not going to happen.
“Like in Italy, like in Germany, like in France, like in the US, like everywhere across the world, with the only exception of Britain.
