Second man dies in hospital after serious crash on major road

The passenger, a 19-year-old man was transferred to Derriford Hospital

A second man has died following a serious crash on the A39 which happened in December.

Police were called just before midnight on December 18, with reports of a Vauxhall Corsa on its roof having left the road and collided with a tree.

Emergency Services including fire and Ambulance attended the scene and the road was closed.

The driver, an 18-year-old man from the Roche area was declared dead at the scene.

The passenger, a 19-year-old man from Bugle was immediately taken to Trelisk hospital before being transferred to Derriford Hospital. Police have now been informed that this man has since died at hospital.

Officers from the Serious Collisions Unit are appealing for witnesses, anyone with any information is asked to contact 101@dc.police.ukquoting log number 959 for 18 December.
