THE Queen carried a small gift bag which appeared to be an early Christmas present as the monarch left her favourite hotel this afternoon.
Her Majesty clutched a small gift bag decorated with a festive star pattern as she stepped out of the Goring Hotel in London. A gold and silver object could be seen at the top of the bag but it was not clear exactly what was inside.
The Queen smiled as she left the lavish hotel, where Her Majesty is believed to have hosted a Christmas party for members of staff.
The Goring is a favourite of the Queen’s and it is the only hotel to have been given a Royal Warrant.
As she left the hotel, the 92-year-old monarch carried her trademark Launder handbag along with the festive gift.
Her Majesty looked smart in a light blue skirt and jacket for the occasion.
The Queen completed the outfit with a sparkling brooch, elegant pearl earrings and a matching necklace.
Today’s party comes just two weeks before Christmas, as the monarch prepares to enjoy the festive period at her country estate in Norfolk.
The Queen traditionally spends Christmas and New Year at Sandringham House, where she is joined by other members of the Royal Family.
