ROYAL SHOCK: Camilla's son REVEALS unusual family's Christmas lunch tradition

THE Duchess of Cornwall's son, Tom Parker Bowles, revealed his family Christmas lunch tradition is to refrain from having "Victorian arriviste turkey" and opt for a more traditional choice of meat instead.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on ITV Good Morning Britain, Camilla's son claimed his mother and the rest of his family try to be "a very normal family" despite Camilla's marriage to Prince Charles. But when asked about family's Christmas traditions, Mr Parker Bowles, a renowned food writer, revealed his cooking never features a turkey for his family on the special day.

Instead, despite his books on traditional Christmas dishes featuring turkey recipes, Camilla's son revealed his family usually opts for beef on Christmas day.

He explained: “I usually do the cooking. Sadly, despite writing a book about traditional Christmas, we don’t have turkey, we have beef.

“Turkey is slightly Victorian arriviste, it came in in the 19th Century.
