Redcar roadworks: The A174, A66 and A171 all face restrictions this week

Reduced speed limits, temporary traffic lights and lane closures will all affect motorists in the Redcar and Cleveland area

A footway closure will be in operation on from April 10 for eight weeks to construct an entrance to a new development site.

A temporary road closure will be in operation from May 8 for up to four months to carry out construction works and access road for Sirius Minerals.

A temporary 40mph speed limit will be in place to allow safe access to the Sirius Mineral development site.

A temporary lane closure will be in operation from May 17 for seven weeks for cabling works.

Multi-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation for two days starting on June 21 to carry out a drainage repair.

Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation for six weeks from May 16 to create new site entrance & road widening to new development.

As part of Skelton Townscape Heritage Project, works to relay paving will start on May 31 which are expected to last for 10 weeks. There will be no temporary signals used for traffic management and the pedestrian crossing equipment will remain in place and active throughout the works.
