As the son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and the grandson of Grace Kelly, Pierre Casiraghi is a scion of one of Europe's most glamorous royal families.
But the 29-year-old Monegasque looked more like an action hero as he arrived at Majorca's Nautical Club on Saturday, dressed top-to-toe in futuristic-looking black kit for a day of training ahead of a prestigious sailing contest.
The father-of-one, who is married to the Italian aristocrat and socialite Beatrice Borromeo, is the skipper of the Malizia team, which is competing in Majorca's King's Cup Regatta.
In addition to a quilted black vest, Pierre sported protective padding on his shoulders and legs.
His teammates include seasoned German yachtsman Boris Herrmann, Briton Richard Mason, and the French sailor Sebastian Col.
Pierre, who is also known to indulge in a spot of car racing, is not the only one in his family with an adventurous streak.
His sister, Charlotte Casiraghi, is an accomplished show jumper, in addition to being a writer and an occasional face of Gucci.
Pierre married Beatrice Borromeo in 2015, and the couple welcomed a son, Stefano, in February this year.
He was named after Pierre's father, who was killed in a boating accident at the age of 30, when Pierre was just three-years-old.
