CAMILLA takes centre stage in new pictures released to mark Prince Charles’s 70th birthday, as the photos reveal the Duchess of Cornwall’s acceptance into the royal fold.
The photos show three generations of royals as Charles poses with his children and grandchildren.
Camilla proudly sits next to her husband of 13 years, with an arm around Charles's granddaughter Princess Charlotte in one of the snaps.
The photos reveal Camilla’s established place in the Royal Family, as the Duchess of Cornwall poses alongside her stepsons Prince William and Prince Harry.
The group appear to be happy and relaxed in the photos with Camilla beaming as she sits next to the heir to the throne at the front of the picture.
It comes 13 years after Camilla wed Charles in 2005. The couple faced some hostility at the time over the breakdown of Charles’s first marriage to Princess Diana.
But the public have warmed to Camilla, with Charles’s wife now playing a key royal role.
And the Queen was full of praise for Camilla last night at a glittering birthday bash the monarch hosted for her son at Buckingham Palace.
The monarch said: "Most of all, sustained by his wife Camilla, he is his own man, passionate and creative.”
