Incredible views of the Pink Moon seen from around the world.
The rare pink moon is technically only pink in name and should not have looked out of the ordinary but a mix of atmospheric conditions actually DID make the moon look pink.
The pink moon takes its name from pink wildflowers, which appear in the US and Canada in early spring, when the moon usually appears.
And this moon is also known as Egg Moon, due to spring being egg-laying season, and to some it is known as Fish Moon because fish were noted to swim upstream with this moon.
Observers in Britain and Europe could see the pink moon after midnight.
The pink moon peaked at 8.58pm EDT for the US east coast and 1.58am BST for viewers in the UK.
The next full moon will be May 29. The May full moon is known as the Flower Moon for all the flowers that bloom during that month.
