Our Girl is definitely one of the most talked about BBC dramas of the last few years and Michelle Keegan has returned as Georgie Lane
Originally starring Lacey Turner, former Corrie actress Michelle stepped into the leading lady role for the show’s second run which aired last autumn.
As Lance Corporal Georgie Lane, viewers saw Michelle embark on a humanitarian tour to Kenya, which didn’t go at all to plan when she was kidnapped, only to be rescued by ex Elvis, who previously left her heartbroken by jilting her at the altar.
In a wicked turn of fate, after returning home to the UK, Georgie did exactly the same to fiance Jamie, while striving to thwart a terror attack on Manchester city centre.
Michelle is back at Georgie, as is Luke Pasqualino as Elvis and Ben Aldridge as Captain James.
Georgie's mum will once again be played by Geordie actress and former Coronation Street star Angie Lonsdale.
The new series is broken up into three distinct tours and will run over the course of 12 episodes.
In the first tour, Georgie is sent on a relief effort after a devastating earthquake in Nepal to mentor young private Maisie Richards (Shalom Brune-Franklin). But never far away, Elvis is around to complicate things.
