ALEXANDRIA Ocasio-Cortez has hit back after being relentlessly mocked for a gaffe she made on Twitter involving a comment about “three chambers of Congress”.
Ms Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to attack critics for “drooling over every minute of footage” to use against her. This came after she posted a video on Twitter where she mentioned “three chambers of Congress”. She said: "If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress.
“Uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House.”
Conservatives commentators on Twitter were quick to pick up on Ms Ocasio-Cortez’s mistake and began to mock her.
Jim Hanson tweeted: “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - the gift that keeps on giving.
“No worries she caught the mistake and corrected it; ‘All three chambers of government, the Presidency, Senate and the House’.
John Cardillo tweeted: “The ignorance of our political process among Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her supporters is mind-numbing.”
However, the newly elected representative snapped back on Saturday in response to Ohio State Representative Niraj Antani, who tweeted her saying: “What is a chamber of government?”
