Nancy Sinatra’s daughter, Nancy Jr. said her mother had “passed away peacefully”.
Nancy Jr. shared the sad news on Twitter yesterday, telling her 186,000 followers: “My mother passed away peacefully tonight at the age of 101.
She also shared a link to the Sinatra family website featuring an announcement which read: “Nancy Barbara Sinatra, March 25, 1917 - July 13, 2018.
“Godspeed, Momma and than you for everything you did for us and for the world.”
Nancy Sr. was the first wife of swing music legend and actor Frank and mother to his three children.
She was born Nancy Barbato in 1917 and met Frank in 1934 when he was a relatively unknown jazz singer in Long Branch, New Jersey.
The couple quickly got engaged but Frank admitted having an affair before they eventually married in 1939.
