One of the depraved London Bridge jihadis yelled 'this is for my family, this is for Islam' as he plunged his kitchen knife into a 23-year-old.
Daniel O'Neill was set upon last night as he left a bar with his girlfriend. He is now recovering in hospital with a scar stretching from his belly to his back.
Speaking to reporters outside King's College Hospital on Sunday his mother Elizabeth said: 'He had just stepped outside the bar for a second and a man ran up to him and said 'this is for my family, this is for Islam' and stuck a knife straight in him.

Ms O'Neill said her son went in to the pub after the attack and the man ran away.
She added: 'There was shots fired, everybody was told to lie down and then they were told to go downstairs in the bar.
Ms O'Neill said she and her son, who was able to talk to her, were still in shock and described the attacks as 'absolutely senseless' and the attackers as 'callous and barbaric' and 'absolute cowards'.
The terrorists mowed down up to 20 people with a white van at 50 miles per hour on London Bridge and then began 'randomly stabbing' pedestrians and diners with 12-inch hunting knives.
Seven people were killed and 48 have been injured according to the Metropolitan Police.
All three terrorists were shot dead by armed police officers approximately eight minutes after the incident began. Police said the terrorists were all wearing fake suicide vests.
The terrorists are believed to have hired a white van from B&Q and drove at high speed across London Bridge swerving along the pavement in an 'S shape' to hit as many pedestrians as possible.
