THE MEGA MILLIONS draw on Tuesday made one lucky person a billionaire overnight, but has anyone come forward to claim the prize?
The Mega Millions winner has won nearly $1.6billion (£1.2billion) in a close to record breaking lottery draw.
The amount of money was so huge as the prize had gone three months without being won, with the last win being in July.
Winners of the July prize were 11 colleagues, who split a staggering $543million between them.
No winners for three months saw the prize fund swell to an amount not seen before in the history of the competition.
Tuesday's winning numbers were 5, 28, 62, 65, 70 with the Mega Ball being 5.
The actual amount won comes in just shy of the $1.6billion, with the estimate for a total of $1.537bn if the winner chooses to be paid out over 30 years, or about $877.8m in a lump-sum cash payment.
So far the winner has not claimed their amount, and only has a certain number of days to do so.
The number of days a winner has to claim their prize varies depending on the state the winning ticket was bought in.
The winning ticket for Tuesday's draw was bought in South Carolina, so the winner has 180 days to claim their prize.
Whilst the winner has not yet stepped forward, the store which sold the lucky ticket in South Carolina has been announced.
