The Lions produced their most assured performance of the tour to date, as Warren Gatland's side outmuscled the Maori All Blacks in tricky Rotorua conditions.
Leigh Halfpenny kicked the Lions to a first-half lead with four successful penalties to edge the hosts 12-10 in front after Liam Messam took advantage of George North's fumble to hack downfield and score.
Tawera Kerr-Barlow was sin binned for a no-arms tackle on Halfpenny and the tourists made the man advantage tell, drawing repeated penalties which forced the referee to award a penalty try following the set-piece dominance. Maro Itoje burrowed over shortly afterwards to put the Lions in full control.
