Man dragged away by police as car hits pedestrians in Times Square

A MAN can be seen being dragged away by police into a vehicle after a car crashed into crowds in New York's busy Times Square.

Speaking to Sky News, after the incident, a witness, who heard the chaos, but did not see the incident explained the aftermath of what happened.

He said: “I would have to imagine that the vehicle had to be travelling more than 30 mph.

“You know what the traffic is like here, it’s quite congested, to hit people and to be catapulted up onto there [the bollard], he would have to have been exceeding the speed limit here.

“We are still kind of baffled to how it could have got so high on the poll itself unless it hit another vehicle.”
