Man, 21, charged with wounding with intent

A North Devon man has appeared at court charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

MacGowan George Blundell of Pollards Place, Bideford, appeared at North Devon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 12.

The 21-year-old was accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding another man with intent. The offence was alleged to have taken place in Bideford on September 2, 2017.

The charge is indictable only, which means the case can only be dealt with by a crown court.

Magistrates formally sent Blundell’s case to Exeter Crown Court to be heard.

The defendant was released on unconditional bail until his appearance at Exeter Crown Court on February 9.
