This M5 service station at Sedgemoor has completely run out of fuel

Highways England says there may be no fuel until Thursday afternoon

A service station on the M5 in Somerset has run out of fuel today (November 9).

According to Highways England, Sedgemoor Services between Junctions 21 and 22 between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea will have no fuel until Thursday afternoon.

It is not yet known when fuel will be available from the site or what has caused the station to run out of fuel.

John Korner, the site director of the service station told Somerset Live that despite the lack of fuel "services are fully open".

Shell, the company which is understood to manage the filling station on the site has been approached for comment.
