Former Everton stalwart raves about defensive signing

Alan Stubbs is never shy of voicing his opinion - and he has very strong views about a man who plays in the same position he used to fill at Goodison Park.

Everton spent £25m to bring centre-back Michael Keane from Burnley in the summer - a fee which could rise by a further £6m in potential add ons - and he has made a steady start to his Blues career.

After playing every minute of every one of Everton's first 11 matches of the season - including his first Goodison goal against Hajduk Split - a couple of minor injuries saw his progress stall.

But he returned to the Blues starting line up for the dramatic win over Watford - and was then called into the England squad for Friday's friendly against Germany.
