A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed on a busy high street in south east London shortly after 8.30am.
Crime knife continues to soar in London as another person falls victim of an attack in the capital. Police rushed to Lewisham High Street following reports of the stabbing, which they said took place at 8.38am. Officers added they have informed the teen's next of kin, but refrained from releasing more details related to the victim.
An investigation into the stabbing has been launched, with police urging witnesses to contact them.
Scotland Yard tweeted: "We are at the scene of a stabbing in Lewisham High St at 8.38am today.
"The victim, a boy in his mid-teens, has been taken to hospital. Next of kin informed.
"We await details of his condition. Witnesses pls call 101 ref 1431/jan14."
They later confirmed the condition of the boy is "not life-threatening".
