The baker says the £25 calendars contain up to £60 of vouchers for Christmas products like Festive Bakes and mince pies
Greggs is releasing an advent calendar which is filled with tokens for the bakers’ products.
The Newcastle-based chain says its 24-door alternative advent calendar is the “ultimate Christmas gift for every Greggs fan”.
Behind each door are vouchers which can be taken into a Greggs branch and exchanged for a treat from its menu. They include - of course - the Festive Bake and sweet mince pies, along with flavoured lattes and the traditional Greggs sausage roll.
On Christmas Eve, the 24th door will reveal either a £5 gift card or a £25 gift card.
The calendars are on sale from Monday, November 20th in a selection of Greggs outlets across the UK. The calendars cost £25, but Greggs say they each contain between £35-£60 of vouchers. Customers in the North East can pick up the calendars from Greggs’ outlet in Northumberland Street, Newcastle.
Each door features Greggs’ take on a festive scene. They include kissing a Festive Bake under the mistletoe and shepherds watching over a sausage roll in a manger.
A Greggs spokesperson said; “Novelty advent calendars have been around for years, so we thought it was time to take the concept up a notch. Fans won’t be disappointed by what’s behind the doors - there’s a delicious Greggs gift to enjoy every day of the December advent season, from sausage rolls to Christmas sandwiches and of course our infamous Festive Bake. It’s the perfect Christmas gift for every Greggs fan.”
The advent calendar vouchers can be redeemed in shops from Friday, December 1 up to and including Sunday, December 24. The Christmas Eve gift cards are valid for up to 12 months.
