Weekend weather is expected to be mainly sunny as the half-term holidays draw to a close
But the good news is that the sun expected to come out and play on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday.
According to the Met Office, Saturday is expected to be “a bright and sunny afternoon away from the coast”. Sunday on the other hand will be “sunny everywhere”.
Fancy a day out? The picturesque village of Helmsley in North Yorkshire for example will experience some of the higher temperatures - with highs of 18 degrees Celsius over the weekend.
The outlook for Sunday to Tuesday reads: “A cloudy start towards the coast, but becoming sunny everywhere through the afternoon.
“Similar on Monday, and sunny spells with a risk of slow moving heavy showers on Tuesday.”
So if you fancy getting the BBQ out, this weekend seems to be the time to do it.
