Canadian rockers Arcade Fire have announced plans to return to the UK for one of their biggest concerts yet, at London’s Earl’s Court Arena.
The band, who topped the album charts last month with their latest record Reflektor, will play the West London venue on Friday June 6 2014.
They announced the news in a short YouTube video, which showed brief footage of the band performing live before the date was revealed.
Frontman Win Butler hinted at a possible Worthy Farm slot during an interview with Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, when asked whether they planned to play any UK festivals in 2014.
Arcade Fire had already been tipped for Glastonbury 2014 after announcing a US arena tour recently that leaves a conspicuous Worthy Farm-shaped hole between June 22 and July 30.
