A flight from Manchester to Frankfurt had to be diverted after a passenger fell ill on board.
The Lufthansa flight, which set off at 9.18am on Thursday morning, was diverted to Amsterdam Airport due to the medical emergency.
The passenger was treated by medics after the flight landed ‘safely’ at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
An airline spokeswoman said: “Lufthansa can confirm that LH941 with 132 passengers on board took off from Manchester Airport at 9.18am.
“The flight was diverted to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol due to a medical emergency.
“The plane landed safely in Amsterdam at 10.16am and the passenger is currently being cared for.”
The flight, which had 132 passengers on board, then departed from Amsterdam Airport at 11am, with a new planned arrival time of 12pm.
