Chris Hughes and Sam Gowland face off in tonight's Love Island 2017 in a big row.
Sam gets word that Chris had been going behind his back to couple up with former partner Olivia, who dumped him this week.
In the villa yesterday, a betrayed Sam approached "snakey" Chris: "I think after what I’ve been told we need a word..."
Squaring up in the garden, Sam wanted an explanation: “First things first, I’ve nothing against you, no problem. I’m not bothered about you and Liv. But I’ve found out that you’ve gone behind my back.”
Chris insisted: “The first time I knew anything about this was today, so nothing’s gone on behind your back before that. That’s the first time I’ve sat down and had a conversation with Liv, genuinely.”
With tempers flaring the conversation quickly descended into another intense row, as Sam warned Chris: “Don’t start raising your voice with me, I’m telling you now.”
But a defiant Chris remained unapologetic: “Sam the first time I’ve spoken to her properly was then, so how can I go behind your back and do anything?”
Speaking to the boys, Sam insisted his issue was with Chris rather than any harboured feelings for Olivia: “It’s nothing to do with a girl, it’s to do with his manner and the way he’s going about things, and how he’s speaking to people. I think he just needed telling.”
But Olivia, who was watching on, wasn’t convinced, telling the Beach Hut: "“This blind sided me because my whole issue with Sam was that he doesn’t care about me.
"He’s always like ‘I sit back and the girls do the grafting’ and I thought ‘that’s ugly, don’t like it, it’s not for me, you need to graft, you need to work’ but he wasn’t going to do it.
"And he’s still like ‘I’m not bothered, I’m not bothered.’ He’s bothered.”
Olivia then confronted Sam who again insisted: “I’m not bothered about me and you, I’m bothered about the fact that he’s gone behind a lad’s back. I’ve just been told that.”
But Olivia hit back: “By who? We haven’t even spoken before tonight! Just now was the first time we’ve spoken. You are bothered, so that’s why you’re being all jumped up.”
Sam later repeated to the group: “I just want to say, all that there, it’s nothing to do with the Liv situation.
"It’s only been a couple of days, it’s fizzled out. The main thing to me is the way he (Chris) was speaking to you and other girls in the house.
"It’s just the way I’ve been brought up, there’s no lad who should speak to girls like that, I just don’t agree with it.
"I wouldn’t shout at a girl, so I don’t expect anyone else to shout at a girl, I just think it’s completely wrong.”
