Laura Robson has faced many challenges during her career but the former British No 1 had to contend with a unique competitor on Thursday.
Having come through the early rounds of the Kurume Cup in Japan, Robson was pitted against Rika Fujiwara for the last-16 clash.
Not content with exerting herself on the court, Fujiwara, who is ranked No 864 in the world rankings, decided to fit in push-ups between points.
Fujiwara's antics drew the attention of American tennis star CoCo Vandeweghe on social media during Thursday's tie.
Fujiwara's bizarre tactics did not pay off, however, as Robson romped to a 6-1, 6-3 victory to book her place in the quarter-final.
World No 218 Robson defeated Miharu Imanishi 4-6, 6-0, 7-5 on Friday to continue her winning run in the tournament.
