A round-up of the latest Everton transfer gossip

What isn't so evident, however, is just who Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh will choose to bring to the club in January.

Plenty of names have been linked and a fresh one has been thrown up courtesy of ESPN, with Dutch striker Bas Dost supposedly on the Blues' radar.

According to the report, the Sporting CP striker would fit the bill as the type of striker Koeman is seeking to bring to Goodison Park, as at 6-foot-5 he is the ideal target man to lead the line.

The 28-year-old joined the Portuguese club from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2016, scoring 36 goals in 41 games in all competitions for the Portuguese club.

It is claimed Steve Walsh watched Dost in last month's Champions League defeat to Barcelona, with the Dutchman coming off the bench for the second half.
