JOE SUGG and Strictly Come Dancing 2018 partner Dianne Buswell wowed all during the Blackpool special last weekend, however one “cute” clip may have been missed by BBC viewers.
Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell were joined in Blackpool for the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 instalment by a very special guest, and their antics did not go unnoticed.
The YouTube favourite danced in front of millions as well as his grandma Phyllis, who was in the studio audience, after previously dancing at the Tower Ballroom herself.
The 27-year-old’s relative was caught doing something that melted Debbie McGee and some of her Talking Strictly podcast co-stars’ hearts.
Speaking on the latest addition on Monday, they remarked on what the contestant’s nan couldn’t resist doing while alongside host Tess Daly.
As the team discussed Joe’s efforts with Dianne in their Quickstep, host Rachel Ward remarked: “What about the nanna though? His nanna!”
“That was lovely,” Debbie, 60, commented, as she continued: “Holding her handkerchief on the front row in a twinset and pearls.”
“Jess and I are stoney-faced,” Chrissy Amer quipped, but that didn’t stop the presenter revealing what she had spotted.
She stated: “Did you see she was reading Tess’ autocue when Tess sat down? But that is so cute.
“She was pretending to be Tess. Watch it back, it’s the cutest thing. My heart melted, I did nearly cry twice on Saturday night.”
The 49-year-old had briefly interviewed Phyllis prior to her grandson’s turn on the dance floor, which is when she clocked the screen the blonde star was reading from.
