RUNNING for an hour three times per week can add nearly an extra day to your life every week.
New research published in Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases found running – even if you begin later in life – can add a considerable amount of time to your lifespan.
The research compliments previous studies which have revealed that running can add three extra years to your life.
The researchers said if you spend two and a half hours a week running for 50 years – just half an hour five times a week – you would only spend three quarters of one year of your life running.
