HILLARY Clinton has caused outrage by accusing people who backed Brexit at the EU referendum of voting “against modern Britain”.
The failed presidential candidate claimed the Brexit vote should have served as a warning that Donald Trump could pull off his own shock election victory.
And, in comments that will stun Leave voters, she claimed that voting to exit the EU “made no sense” and was based on a “horrible lie”.
Speaking to the Sunday Times to launch her book, she said: "Brexit should have been a bigger alarm than it was.
"They voted against modern Britain and the EU, believing that somehow this would be good for their small village.
