MARINE Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron are set to clash during the final televised debate tonight – just days before France goes to the polls on Sunday.
Opinion polls have consistently put the 39-year-old centrist ahead of the former Front National leader by around 20 points, despite only finishing three points ahead of Ms Le Pen in the first round.
Insisting he will not hold back, Mr Macron told BFM TV that he will use “hand to hand fighting” in the final debates.
He said: “I am not going to employ invective. I am not going to use cliches or insults.
“I’ll use hand-to-hand fighting to demonstrate that her ideas represent false solutions.”
