A GP's wife has been charged with his murder after his body was found at his home.
Marion Hughes, 58, is due before Truro magistrates later accused of killing 60-year-old Dr Geraint Hughes.
Emergency services were called to the couple's home in the village of Feock, in Cornwall, on Friday.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police discovered his body inside the detached bungalow. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Mrs Hughes was also treated for injuries following the incident and was taken to hospital before being released into police custody.
Dr Hughes, known as Gary, qualified in 1977 and was senior partner at the Clinton Road Surgery in Redruth.
