SCRIPTS, episode details and actors’ phone numbers from Game of Thrones series 7 have been “stolen” by online pirates.
Bandits claim to have leaked the script for an upcoming Game of Thrones episode online – and they plan to release more unless HBO pay them millions.
In a video from “Mr Smith” to the US network’s head honcho Richard Plepler, scrolling white text threatens to “upload entire series” of the smash-hit fantasy series unless a £5mill ransom is paid.
The unknown group – who sign off with "HBO is falling" – also appear to have nabbed the personal phone numbers and email addresses of actors such as Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey and Emilia Clark.
The 1.5 terabyte cache seems to include draft scripts from five GOT episodes, including one upcoming episode, and a month’s worth of email from HBO’s vice president for film programming Leslie Cohen.
The hackers claim they want "our six-month salary in bitcoin" which they say is roughly $6 million (£4.6 million).
The group say they earn upwards of $12-15 million (£9.2-11.5 million) a year from extorting huge companies over similar hacks.
