BREXITEER Lance Forman has insisted that the EU is in a tougher situation than the UK over Brexit because what they really want is the £39bn in a withdrawal agreement.
He continued: “And you have to look at the EU’s position, they are in the toughest position of them all, they are in a much tougher position than us.
“If Britain does well outside of these negotiations and Britain thrives outside the EU, then there's no real purpose for the EU at all.
“And if on the other hand, we do badly because they try and punish us, they will be punishing European businesses too, so they are in a difficult position.
“What they really want out of us is this £39bn so we have to use that as leverage.
“In the same way they are using Ireland we need to use the money as leverage.
