Arsenal's highly-rated starlet Eddie Nketiah grabbed the winner as England Under-19s beat their Iceland counterparts 2-1 in Bulgaria on Saturday.

The 18-year-old South Londoner who scored two goals on his Gunners debut against Norwich City in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup at the Emirates last month was on the scoresheet again as his side won their second successive game during Under-19s European Championship qualifying.

Chelsea's Mason Mount put the youngsters ahead through a free-kick on 70 minutes but Iceland equalised 12 minutes later after Daniel Hafsteinsson slotted past Huddersfield Town keeper Ryan Schofield.

But the young England side led by boss Paul Simpson were ahead again 60 seconds later after substitute Jadon Sancho - who was signed by Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City for £8 million - set up Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah for a clinical finish.

The result means England now have secured their place in the Elite Round next March and now have top-spot to play for in the final match of the group against hosts Bulgaria - who have also won two out of two.

The talented Arsenal teenage tweeted: 'Good 2-1 win vs Iceland U19s, nice to get the winning goal. My boy Jadon Sancho with another assist'.
