FORMER EastEnders star Jessie Wallace was reported to have been left “very shaken” after being attacked in a pub when she refused to pose for photographs.
Wallace, who played Queen Vic landlady Kat Slater in the popular soap for ten years, escaped unhurt despite the thugs throwing glasses at her, it was reported.
But friend Jason Sutton reportedly required stitches for a head injury after being attacked by the “fans”.
The row is said to have erupted after two men hassled the 46-year-old actress for a photograph while she was out with friends and family in Bromley, South London, on Thursday night.
Wallace and Sutton returned to the pantomime stage less than 24 hours later.
Phil Dale, manager to Ms Wallace, told the Daily Express: “Although very shaken by the intrusion into her private time with her family and friends, Jessie is looking forward to being back on stage in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs today.”
The actress is currently playing the Wicked Queen at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley and was with the show’s co-stars when the fight broke out.
Witness Lesley Ashmall said: “There was a nice atmosphere until these two drunks were asking Jessie for a photograph.
“They were hassling her for a photo and she said no because they were too drunk.
“They must have broken six glasses, then they smashed the actor was who playing Nurse Nancy. After that they ran out of the pub.
