JOHNNY Carter has been revealed as the victim of Ted Murray's shooting on EastEnders.
Earlier this week the Albert Square resident was seen firing a gun at a mystery figure at his front door.
At the beginning of Monday night's dramatic EastEnders, it was revealed that Johnny had indeed been shot by Ted.
But amongst the chaos, a confused Ted was left petrified and paranoid – leading to him firing his gun at Johnny.
Ted and wife Joyce were left stunned when Johnny crashed through the doorway and onto the floor in front of them.
And Joyce later took the blame for the shooting after convincing Ted that they had to call an ambulance.
Johnny's mum Linda was next door at Jack Branning's house, unaware that her son's life was hanging in the balance just metres away.
After hearing the police arrive, Linda and Jack went out onto the square to see Joyce handcuffed by the police.
Linda then clicked that it was Johnny who'd been hurt, and rushed inside to his aide.
She then joined him in the ambulance as he was rushed to the hospital, with Jack following behind in the car.
