A COMMUNITY group visited a hospice to see how a £8,000 donation was spent.
Members of Billericay Round Table made a special visit to St. Luke’s Hospice, Basildon to see the impact that their generous donation of £8,000 has made to hospice care.
The donation was made possible through funds raised by Billericay Round Table at the club's annual firework display in Lake Meadows, Billericay.
It has been used to purchase a low rise bed, which has special features aimed at supporting the particular needs of patients with Dementia.
The donation has also enabled two of the hospice’s community clinical nurse specialists to take external training so that they can prescribe medication.
